The Cross-Systems Training Institute hosts training, coaching, credentialing, and technical assistance for providers across systems who work with children, youth, and families with complex needs.

The Institute is sponsored by COACT Colorado, Colorado's Trauma Informed System of Care. Colorado’s system of care builds on existing infrastructure, such as the Collaborative Management Program. Child- and youth-serving agencies that are involved include

  • community mental health,
  • child welfare,
  • juvenile justice, and
  • education.

A goal of the system of care is to develop a sustainable training and technical assistance system integrated with partner organizations.

COACT Colorado is an initiative supported by a cooperative agreement between the Colorado Department of Human Services and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). It is administered by the Office of Behavioral Health in partnership with the Office of Children, Youth, and Families, and other local partners.
